Durga Maa on Navratri

Navratri is the sacred nine-night festival that celebrates the divine feminine energy, Maa Durga. She is revered as the supreme goddess, the fierce and benevolent mother of the universe, who embodies shakti (power).

During this time, she is worshipped in her nine magnificent forms, each representing a unique aspect of her strength—from the serene Shailaputri to the wise Siddhidatri. She is depicted as a radiant warrior goddess, riding a lion, wielding divine weapons in her many arms, and slaying the buffalo demon Mahishasura.

Navratri is not just a ritual; it is a spiritual journey to invoke the Durga within—to conquer our inner demons of ego, anger, and ignorance. It is a vibrant celebration of the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and the power of divine grace.
