Upcoming Navratri Special
On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, we invoke and worship Maa Durga—the supreme embodiment of Shakti (divine feminine power), the fierce protector of the righteous, and the compassionate mother of the universe.
She is the unifying force of all the gods, created to vanquish the unconquerable demon Mahishasura. Her very name, "Durga," means "the invincible," the one who remover of suffering and adversity (Durgati Nashini).
During the nine nights of Navratri, each form of Maa Durga is revered, representing her multifaceted nature:
As Shailaputri, she is the daughter of the mountains, absolute nature.
As Brahmacharini, she is the embodiment of penance and devotion.
As Chandraghanta, she establishes justice and peace.
As Kushmanda, she is the cosmic source of all energy.
As Skandamata, she is the mother of love and compassion.
As Katyayani, she is the fearless warrior goddess.
As Kaalratri, she is the destroyer of darkness and ignorance.
As Mahagauri, she is the epitome of purity and serenity.
As Siddhidatri, she is the granter of all supernatural powers and blessings.
Her form is divine and powerful: she is depicted with many arms, each holding a weapon gifted by the gods, riding a majestic lion, symbolizing her mastery over power, will, and determination. She is simultaneously Shakti (power), Shanti (peace), and Shraddha (faith).
Navratri puja is not just a ritual; it is a journey. It is a time to invite the divine mother into our hearts and homes, to seek her blessings for strength to overcome our inner demons of ego, anger, lust, and greed. We pray to her to destroy all negativity and bestow upon us prosperity, wisdom, and spiritual liberation.
Jai Maa Durga! May her divine grace illuminate your life with strength, peace, and prosperity.
